A big congratulations to the new husband and wife, also known as the newly announced Duke and Duchess of Sussex! After months of fanfare since their engagement last November, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally tied the knot last Saturday, May 19th,  in a rather intimate--as intimate as it can get for a Royal Wedding--ceremony that was just filled with love and happiness all around.

Of course, we can’t help but gush about both the major and little things that went on--from the arrival of the guests to Prince Harry and his princess, Meghan Markle, riding off as newlyweds in their carriage. And for those who have missed out on the live telecast, here’s a rundown of our 5 favorite moments from the Royal Wedding that were romantic as it is emotional as well.

1. The Walk Down the Aisle

Even though a lot of drama went down leading up to Meghan’s walk down the aisle, it went heartwarmingly perfect from the moment she stepped out of the car to climbing up the flight of stairs with the page boys holding her gown’s train, and to Prince Charles taking her hand halfway through and escorting her towards Prince Harry at the altar. What made this moment even more emotional was when Prince Harry said his thanks to his father as he took Meghan’s hand and led her to the altar.

2. The Unveiling

It was a scene stolen straight out of a Disney fairy tale when Prince Harry lifted Meghan’s veil, and the cameras just zoomed in perfectly to her adoring eyes for her prince. Of course, all women watching it live also just swooned when the camera then showed a very happy and smiling Prince Harry.

3. The Bishop's Sermon

Right from the start, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s union already marked a turning point in the British monarchy. Their wedding was the ultimate proof as it featured both of their very diverse backgrounds and combined it in such a way that it truy unified everyone, and became a beacon of acceptance for the whole country. Bishop Michael Curry set the stage for this with his very impassioned speech that speaks of the real state of today’s world, and the hope that there is when we lead and live with love.

4. The Choir and the Cellist

Another beautiful tribute to Meghan’s African-American heritage is The Kingdom Choir’s rendition of “Stand By Me,” as well as Sheku Kanneh-Mason, the cellist who performed during the ceremony upon Meghan’s personal invitation. Both performances filled the room with awe and amazement, further solidifying how this marriage is more than just a marriage of two young people in love--but of two cultures and two very different worlds becoming one.

5. The First Kiss

The first kiss as newlyweds makes everything official and all eyes were on Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, as they stepped out of the St. George’s Chapel and had their first kiss before they rode off in a horse-drawn carriage. It was just about as romantic as it can get and everyone cheered for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they seal it all with a kiss.
