Hair Up or Hair Down?

To let your hair down or have it up?
This one's a hotly debated bridal beauty trend with most brides going for the traditional updo. But with modern trends making waves these days, we're seeing a lot of brides who are simply letting their hair down as they walk down the aisle.
So which one is the way to go? The answer lies in the bride's beliefs and style, as well as the wedding's overall motif and setting. Filipino tradition calls for the bride to have her hair in an updo, especially if it's a grand and formal wedding held in a church. To be fair, having an updo hair is also more convenient — with the bride not having to think about strands falling on her face. Ultimately, there's definitely something about letting the bride's natural glow shining through, since an updo puts all the focus on the bride's face.
That said, there's also definitely a way that a bride can pull off having her hair down without strands falling on the face. This hairstyle perfectly complements outdoor weddings that aren't too strictly formal in nature. For brides who are more about looking natural and laid-back, a hair-down bridal hairstyle is definitely the better option.
Good news is, you can also have the best of both worlds with these hairstyles. A lot of brides have their hair in an updo during the actual ceremony and then have it down during the reception — where they, quite literally, let their hair down and have fun during the afterparty. For soon-to-wed brides, which hairstyle are you leaning more towards to?
