Be Jasmine Mendiola's 150th Bride and get a FREE trial at her Eastwood Studio this month of March and April 2010

As a professional freelance makeup artist, Jazz learned the fundamentals of skin, light and formulations of makeup from Manila’s finest artists. She’s honed her craft for the past six years through various stints for magazines, commercials, events, plays and fashion shows. She pays careful attention to quality by using top-of-the-line products from the best brands in the market.

“I really loved the natural way you made me up. I still looked like ‘me’ and not a made-up version of me. I’m so glad that out of all those names in all those wedding brochures, I picked Jasmine Mendiola. You have a rare gift of bringing out the inner beauty in people,” said Kath Quisumbing, one of the many satisfied clients of Jazz.

“She will ask you about your wedding’s theme/feel/vibe/motif and will incorporate that with your makeup in a way that will suit your skin and face,” said Faye Linsangan, one of Jazz’s recent clients. “I didn’t even know I’d be able to pull-off the nude bronze look, but I was able to because of her! She made me so pretty that day, and I really owe it to her!”

Although she is best known for her work as a bridal makeup artist, Jazz’s flexibility and talent doesn’t end there. She is also a writer, magazine editor, fashion stylist, celebrity stylist, style consultant and thespian. Her works are seen all over the media—from magazines to TV shows. Her flexibility and ability to understand the needs of her clients—from meticulous brides to detail-oriented editors and directors—make her a favorite in the industry.

“I love working with Jazz because she can do almost everything. I’ve booked her as a makeup artist, fashion stylist, consultant, and writer. She also makes a great resource person for my various lifestyle articles,” said Kate Alvarez, managing editor of Transit.

To date, she’s styled hundreds of magazine pages, commercials, events, and TV shows. She’s jazzed up over 100 beautiful brides for the most important day of their lives. And she’s just getting warmed up.

About the Artist

Jasmine-Stephanie C. Mendiola is a professional freelance makeup artist. Her passion for makeup is rooted in the kind of discipline and dedication she has had as a Theater Arts graduate. Learning the fundamentals of skin, light and formulations of makeup from Manila's finest artists and building her portfolio with works she has done for various brands, magazines, commercials, events, plays and fashion shows -- it is no doubt that Jasmine has truly embraced makeup as her craft using the top of the line products of the best brands in the market.

Jasmine Mendiola is also a freelance fashion stylist. Her work as a Fashion & Beauty Editor in one of the titles of the country’s top magazine publishing company has earned her the authority in knowing trends and clothing styles to put a look together from head to toe for the right market—be it for kids, tweens, males and female models, from students, celebrities to corporate officers and front-liners. Her vast exposure in the fashion and beauty industry has allowed her to integrate them in occasion-appropriate and age appealing outfits that may be seen in her styling works in print editorials and advertising, television shows, movies and commercials. Being a writer and thespian in nature, she hopes to continue using her craft in fashion and beauty as a tool for others to gain self-confidence and a well-guided sense of style in the workplace, by maximizing their own wardrobe without sacrificing their unique personalities. She does this through Style Consultations, giving out one-on-one or group coaching classes for personal, media or corporate workshops in Personality Development, Personal Grooming and Power Dressing and have successfully contributed to renowned companies such as the John Robert Powers Philippines, GMA Newsroom, Natasha’s nationwide arm of Managers and Sellers as well as students from Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University.

Jasmine Mendiola has been an active thespian since High School and has even starred in a number of Dulaang UP plays, TVCs and print ads. She was last seen as Mira Albano in Floy Quintos’ Ateneo production of Fluid in 2007. Her background in Theater has equipped her with ample performance, managerial, design, and technical skills she has applied in various endeavors as a freelancer with random stints in modelling, traffic reporting and hosting. She has also served in her community and parish in various sports or choir related activities. Jasmine, however, has concentrated on her craft as a Makeup Artist and her career in Fashion & Beauty by constantly contributing as an artist, stylist and writer. She hopes to be able to pursue international studies or a promising collaboration in these fields and teach what she has learned along the way.

Finally, Jasmine Mendiola is also the author of www.miofightscancer.com where she tells of how her five year old son is battling with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Her advocacy has reached over 40,000 readers online and on print and has spear-headed joint efforts by friends and family to help raise funds for his medication through concerts, art exhibits, celebrity auctions, benefit dinners and Mio Cans. Jasmine hopes to continue the chain of love and generosity by carrying the torch for cancer-stricken kids and inspire other parents, single moms or not, to find creative ways in helping their children live a normal life in spite of cancer.

She is a devoted mother, hard-working writer and a real artist whose presence makes any occasion a series of collaborative beauty and excellence. Her work is void of mediocrity and open to the visions of those she works with. Jasmine is best known for her flexibility and ability to accomplish everything she puts her heart into, reliable down to the last detail.
